Graham Sampson is a London based singer-songwriter. Graham has released and performed as beautiful mechanica and chekhov's beautiful gun.
beautiful mechanica was formed in 2013 and made it's live debut in London in 2015.
In 2018 Graham's work was requested by the British Library Sound Archive for the National Collection.
In 2019, Graham began working with London based Singer/Songwriter Martin Okasili and released an EP "Five Sweet Sorrows" under the band name of chekhov's beautiful gun.
2019 also saw Graham produce soundtracks for two short films - "Dandelions" by Alina Portnova and "Disruption" by Kira Yankovich.
2020 sees Graham in the studio working on new material with Martin Okasili.
Work on any one of his projects (beautiful mechanica, chekhov's beautiful gun, solo ) does not mean that the others have ended. Rather that each has an aesthetic that means Graham places his work into them based on the musical mindset and aesthetic that he is in at the time of writing. Indeed, in 2019, Graham wrote a new Tyler Troy track for use as the intro to the electronic music show, In The Moog on NCCR Radio.
